doglet is hungry

besides wanting water with ice, i haven't had too many other weird food things so far that i hear so many stories about. there was a week where sweet potatoes were revolting but that was short lived. mushrooms haven't seemed that great to me for a while (b/c they soak up so much oil) and not too into eggplant that isn't cooked until soft like yuxiang eggplant. still good with spicy food but obnoxiously spicy gives me heartburn. i actually can't really think of much else. i really wanted a little mcdonald's hamburger after i threw up for the first time (probably because that is my go-to hangover food haha), and the sweetgreen harvest bowl is always tasty. i played one preggers card and made zach get me a sandwich and soup for lunch one day which i definitely had to have at the time. i could eat zach's larb everyday but that's nothing new. all in all, feeling pretty good besides being tired.

we celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary this year since we actually had the time by making a pizza with homemade dough and sauce. i also made a chocolate chess pie which i think was one of the pies at our wedding. love me some pie.

i also made pregnancy-friendly california rolls one night that aren't quite the same but still were very tasty:

the birthing program i'm hoping to do in the midwife center at GW hospital has really strict dietary guidelines that i think i mostly live up to but can definitely not 100% adhere to them. for example, they even say to cut out wheat bread and cereal because most of it is highly processed. part of the idea is that one reason c sections are so high in the US is that because of poor pre-natal nutrition, natural birth isn't physically possible because some babies are so big. good lord. alright i'll take the pie maybe hold the ice cream next time.
